Procrastination - Not the Problem

Well I have been spending a lot of time working on the My little ponies and procrastination is not my problem. I seem to be having trouble with my patience, as in I don't have any! I keep mucking up work I just did because I am too impatient to wait for it to dry properly before I start painting another part of my model :S
This is something I want/am trying to stop with my brand new Mel Millar model. Have Blue is my very first artists resin and he is awesome! I take an hour a day just to build up his base coat including mind numbing brushing to soften out my paint strokes. So far I have resisted the urge to paint the hooves or base - So far so good. Now I just need to apply this to my ponies and will avoid having to make so many touch ups! The past 2 months have really been a learning curve for this beginning artist. I will post a blog soon outlining this learning process, but for now in progress pictures!

Well it has been awhile since I started this blog, but I finally have news to share. I am finally in production of a new medallion. This arab head medallion measures 4.5 x 4 inches and will be available for sale on my website sometime this month. The initial run will only be about 6, but if he garners any interest I will indefinitely make casts of him.

First Entry and Progress

Well this is my blog. It will just be me talking about my horse art pretty much. To start my model horse hobby, I have been sculpting medallions. The first one is an Arabian Head and the second is a Lusitano Stallion Head. These two are still in progress, hopefully the Arab head will be ready for casting soon. In addition to the medallions, I also customize Breyers and My Little Ponies. I have a few of these in the creative process as I type and when they are a little more presentable I will post some pictures.
For now, lets start with those medallions!
